Video management

KVABI VMS Enterprise

Independent sites. A coordinated video operation.

Connect distributed recording and independently managed sites through KVABI VMS Enterprise. Give central teams permission-controlled visibility while each site retains its own recording and administration.

Built around your operation

For multi-site organisations, campuses and critical facilities that need distributed recording or coordinated oversight.

Sites that retain local control

Federate independent installations through scoped grants. Local users, permissions and recording remain with the source site.

Recording beyond one server

Assign recording workloads across multiple recorders and design storage around the cameras and retention required at each location.

Central review, controlled access

Bring permitted remote camera, health, event and archive information into central operations without granting unrestricted access to every site.

Resilience matched to the project

Plan recording copies and recovery roles for critical workloads. Failover and management HA are separately engineered deployments, assessed against the chosen infrastructure.

Deployment architecture

Local recording. Permission-controlled federation.

Each participating site runs its own licensed VMS authority and grants selected access to the central installation over reachable HTTPS. Local recording does not depend on the WAN link while the local system and licence remain valid. Central access resumes when connectivity returns.

Redundant recording, recorder takeover and management HA are designed separately from a standard Windows installation. We agree infrastructure, connectivity and recovery tests before commissioning.

Manage the camera estate

Keep camera connections and recording assignments in view.

Review configured devices, ONVIF connection details and the recorder assigned to each camera.

Plan the right fit

Size the system around the cameras, not a headline number.

Licensing defines the edition and purchased camera allocation. Camera compatibility, server capacity and storage are assessed against the actual workload.

  • Site connectivity and source-site permissions
  • Recorder assignments, storage and retention
  • Recovery objectives and qualification of resilience infrastructure

AI applications and third-party system integrations are separately scoped. A VMS licence does not automatically include an analytics package.
